Incident Tracker has a built-in tool that allows users to have a clearer insight into what areas might be problematic for their organization. The Activity Hotspots tool is one of the easiest to use. Simply click on the Activity Hotspots link on the Reports and Analytics page. Then choose as many data points as you like (as seen here).
Once you select your data points, you then select:
- A date range
- A month/day pattern
- the top X results
From here, you are given clear visibility into how active the data points are over time and matching a specific pattern.

Data points: day and location
Date range: all available
Pattern: all months and all days
However it is just as simple to select a more specific date range and only consider Autumn months and only look at weekends. One view shows the options open and one shows them closed.
Note that this example includes hours that are tied to the reports, so they are shown as well. Both occurrences and hours can be sorted here from greatest to least, and the data set shown can be exported to excel for further analysis.
